Do you like to sew / knit / draw / DIY / make / create? So do I!
Hi there, I’m Rin. I love making stuff.
I want to make it easy for busy people just like you to bring beautiful handmade things into your life. At Sew in Love, you’ll find modern craft ideas, chic sewing patterns and easy DIY projects to help you start creating.
I’m half Japanese, half Indonesian. Growing up in Japan, I watched my mother accomplish lots of intricate Japanese crafts. And my Obaachan (grandmother) was a seamstress – I guess crafting is in my genes!
Our family moved to Australia when I was 9 years old. It’s here I met my husband, Dave. We love to travel, so we spent 3 years in San Francisco working in the tech industry where our little girl, Umi, was born. “Umi” means “ocean” in Japanese and now that we are back in Australia, we love taking her to the beautiful “umi’s” Australia has to offer.
I started Sew in Love as a hobby, a place where I could share my need to sew SOMETHING (sewists, you know what I mean, right?). I’ve had so much fun blogging that I’ve chosen to do it full-time. With my background in marketing, design and start-ups, I hope I can bring you a fresh and modern craft blog that inspires you to CREATE.
