I’m very excited to tell you that I am off to a spontaneous trip to Japan next week!
My parents who live in Australia, and me, who now lives in the US will meet in Japan for a 10 day family trip. I’ll be hanging out with my Obaachan (granny) in Yamagata as well so I’m very excited.
I’ve put a capsule travel wardrobe together, making an effort to include some colours, as my Mum thinks I wear far too much black…
Item List
- Camouflage jacket –
- UNIQLO light down jacket –
- Blue jumper (thrifted) –
- Dark blue mens cardigan (thrifted) –
- Cream button down shirt –
- Red checked shirt (thrifted) –

I think there’s plenty here to keep me going (and warm) for 10 days.
I’ll be blogging from Japan, so I’ll try to take photos of the actual outfits there!
Update – Here are some photos of outfits from my Japan trip with this capsule wardrobe. I purchased the cat T-shirt at Uniqlo in Tokyo.

Just happened to find your site and am thrilled that I did! The bilingual aspect of your blog drew me in at first (I have a Japanese-English bilingual blog too) but after looking at your posts, I was inspired. I’m not very good at sewing, but your site has made me feel like trying some crafts or something at home 😉
Love this post with your travel wardrobe by the way!
