Retro prints are so cool. It’s nice to see the swirls of pink in this crazy blue, slinky fabric. I bought it on ebay, and wanted to make something for summer in a modern shape, to offset the borderline daggy retro print. I took a simple tank top I owned, and made a new pattern which had billowing side panels and a cropped front. Thanks to my trusty overlocker, even this slippery fabric turned into a rather nice top. It’s a bit rock’n’ roll but with a grandma print – love it.
